cK-12 for Electronic Textbook Building
What can cK-12 do for your classroom?cK-12 is able to provide you with free electronic textbooks. You may use them as-is or you may pull parts out and/or add in your own. In most of the textbooks there are already interactive components but you are also able to add materials from your own collections. To view them you can save them as a pdf or an ePub book. In eBook format students with mobile devices will be able to open them to highlight or make notes on the reading.

cK-12 for TeachersTeachers select their subject, state and grade level to access the Flexbooks that match their curriculum. Once you have accessed the Flexbook you can start making your changes and/or downloading it to post for student access. Formats include pdf (computers), Mobi (Kindle's), and ePub (iPads).

cK-12 for StudentsStudents search for information and access it within the provided cK-12 Flexbooks or access a specific Flexbook that you have created for your students. They may read the information on the website itself or may download it to whatever device they wish with pdf, Mobi (for Kindle's), or ePub capabilities.

Tips & TricksSometimes it seems difficult to get started. You can use these Flexbooks as you find them and as you get used to the system modify the books as you see fit. You don't have to start from scratch OR do everything at once.
